Hike & explore
Only an hour’s drive from Cape Town, Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve has 10 hiking routes of varying difficulty – and we’re open every day of the year from sunrise to sunset! Find more information on the different routes here.
Please note that we are open even though the Franschhoek Pass/R45 is closed to regular traffic. Hikers with valid permits (available through Webtickets or at the bottom of the pass) can access the R45. Only the Cats Path trail, which runs parallel to the pass, is closed. All other trails are open!
