NOW that the holiday season has come to an end, the Franschhoek Pass will again be closed during the work week. This means that, starting 8 January 2024, the reserve will only be open on weekends (from sunrise to sunset). We do not have a timeline as to when the pass will fully reopen but hope it will be completed within a month or so.
We do have some good news about the Perdekop Trail. The bridge at the start of the route has been restored so the trail is open again to hikers.
